- John Kelly President
- After earning his BS in Computer Science from RIT, John served as an officer and pilot with the US Navy prior to joining SDG. John has developed SDG’s government systems business and is recognized statewide for systems expertise pertaining to imaging and land record based systems. John has been the principal architect of the Image Mate software product series and is currently project manager for the comprehensive Tompkins County Official and Land Records development and integration project.
- Mark Kotary Vice President
- After receiving a degree in Mathematics, Mark worked several years as a math and programming instructor at MVCC. He also developed a database consulting business, which has been merged with SDG. For the past 6 years, Mark has specialized in GIS and enterprise document imaging software development and support. Mark works very closely with the New York State Office of Real Property Services (ORPS) in the development and support of the GIS features of the RPS version 4 system.
- Tom Murphy Vice President
- Tom is a Clark scholarship recipient and a SUNY Utica/Rome graduate. Tom graduated with high honors (top 5% of the graduating class) while simultaneously working as a full-time SDG software developer. Tom is a highly talented programmer and played a key role in the successful launch of Image Mate Enterprise for New York State County Clerks.
- David Guzman Business Manager
- Dave joined SDG after spending 18 years serving as Business Operations Manager and Purchasing Manager for Dodge Graphic Press in Utica. He obtained his Associates of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from the Utica School of Commerce while working full time for Dodge Graphics and running his own landscaping business. Dave was instrumental in the growth of Dodge Graphics to over $10,000,000 in annual sales, as well as developing the financial and organizational sides of the business.
- Jennifer Mitchell Office Manager
- Jennifer manages the SDG front office and assists with data entry, conversion services, image filing, indexing and GIS data manipulation projects. Jennifer got her Certificate in Administrative Office Assistant from Utica School of Commerce where she graduated with Honors and was nominated into the “Who’s Who” list of undergraduate students. Jennifer has over 5 years of management experience in a variety of fields, and has played an integral role in SDG’s acquisition of grant funding for municipalities across New York State through the RPTATIP Grant Program.
- Tom Small Software Engineer
- Tom joined SDG after graduating with Honors from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS in Software Engineering. Tom has experience in many aspects of software development, including requirements gathering and analysis, user experience and user interface design, and back-end development techniques. Tom’s experience with application design and development in general, and web technologies in particular, put him in a leading role in SDG’s continued web application development work.
- John Rossi Software Engineer
- John has thirteen years experience designing and developing standalone and web-based applications using a variety of programming languages. He has an extensive background in functional aspects of relational databases systems. John has been active in systems analysis, requirements definition, and business process re-engineering. He has a broad range of knowledge in a variety of technical areas resulting from work on both Department of Defense and commercial efforts. Prior to 1992 John spent thirteen years as an Electronics Technician in the field of digital and analog flight simulation. John has spearheaded SDG’s latest large format and GIS software mapping efforts.
- Scott Sweet Technical Support
- Scott is SDG’s primary technical and customer support person. When he’s not working with customers, Scott helps monitor and maintain SDG’s servers and network.
